What is my creative back-story?
(click on any photo to start slideshow)

I use the art I create to record my physical time on earth.  By utilizing the standard concepts of line, composition, colour, value, texture, etc., as pertains to painting and illustration, I continue to pursue my interests and document my influences. My work reflects my interest in zoology, in particular, the field of entomology.

Through my art I strive to convey the world as I experience it; a natural world portrayed as balanced, stylized objects coupled with detailed, flowing patterns.  I celebrate the natural realm in a decorative fashion with the use of layers of harmonious, jewel-like colours and metallic highlights.

I endeavor to stimulate the viewer by sharing my insight into the worlds within worlds that surround me.  I am currently using the craft of painting to achieve this and continue to explore the properties of my materials.
